Forensic Science

FPA’s Forensic Science course explores how forensic scientists collect and analyze evidence during criminal investigations. Course topics include crime scene investigation, evidence collection, evidence analysis (fingerprints, DNA, blood, fiber, ballistic, arson, documents/ink), forensic autopsy, forensic toxicology, forensic entomology, forensic anthropology, forensic psychology, and more. Throughout the course students will complete hands-on labs to investigate many of these topics.

Dr. Amber Sanatore

Dr. Sanatore earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kent State University, her master’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, and her PhD from the University of the Cumberlands.

In addition to teaching for FPA, Dr. Sanatore teaches university courses in psychology and research methods.

Dr. Sanatore lives in Ohio with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking, reading, and spending time with her family.
