FPA’s first grade curriculum has an emphasis on the fundamentals of reading, writing, and arithmetic. We believe in the importance of a strong phonics-based program.

Students learn listening, writing, and reading skills that will enable them to better understand the English language. Reading brings them to new adventures as they go through rich, literature-based stories. They are challenged with comprehension exercises as well as enrichment activities that develop creative thinking.
