Consistent review of previously presented skills and an incremental approach to teaching new skills provide students a fundamental background for higher mathematics. Continuous review built into each problem set builds solid retention. Students complete Saxon protocol of four lessons each week and do the entire problem set for the effective development of strong math skills.
Mrs. Ricker graduated from Notre Dame College in 1995 with a BA in Elementary Education/Special Education and a minor in English. Currently, she lives in South Carolina with her husband and two dogs. Homeschooling her two children was her passion until they grew up! Emma is a nurse, and Colby is a cinematographer. Teaching for FPA has been Mrs. Ricker’s privilege for several years. When she is not teaching, she enjoys relaxing with a great book, kayaking, sharing time with friends, traveling, or keeping busy with home improvement projects.
Mrs. Ricker is excited to be working with homeschooling parents and students as a teacher at FPA!
