Nuclear Science Club

Mr. Jeff Mahn


Mr. Mahn has earned both baccalaureate and masters degrees in nuclear engineering, from the University of Wisconsin and University of Michigan, respectively. He spent the first half of his career in the field of commercial nuclear power performing a variety of tasks while employed at various times with a nuclear reactor supplier, a nuclear plant operating company, a nuclear services contractor, and an electrical utility company. In the latter half of his career, Mr. Mahn working at Sandia National Laboratories, performing work in support of the U.S. nuclear weapons program.

He is married with two children and four grandchildren and has been living in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 30 years. During his retirement Mr. Mahn has been a volunteer docent and science educator at the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History in Albuquerque, a volunteer middle school math teacher, and a tutor of math, chemistry, and physics.
